Dry Cupping

Cupping is beneficial to release tightness.

Dry cupping

Cupping therapy remained an integral part of ancient medicine in one form or another. There are conflicting opinions regarding the pioneers of this ancient practice.

-In Chinese, cupping is known as "pulling-up jars".

-In ancient GreeceHippocrates (c. 460 – c. 370 BC) used cupping for internal disease and structural problems.

In modern times, cupping re-emerged as a popular holistic treatment approach, thanks to a long list of sport persons and celebrities who used it personally.

Cupping is beneficial as it relieves tightness without the need of large pressure being applied. The cupping technique lifts the tissues up, allowing the muscle fibres to move slightly apart. It can increase the range of movement and flexibility of the muscle area.

When muscles are tight, tissues become stiff and rigid which limits movement. Cupping releases high tone by stretching the soft tissues, increasing blood circulation and breaking down adhesions.
